From the West or North: (via Evanston, WY)
Head south to the nearest connection with I-80. From Salt Lake or Evanston, head eastbound on I-80. Take the Mountain View Exit, #33, heading south. Follow the main road through Mountain View. (The last supermarket is in Mountain View, if you need to pick up some last minute items.) When the main road in Mountain View forks, go to the left towards Lonetree (S.R. 414). Soon after passing through Burntfork, you will reach a turnoff with a large sign saying "19 Miles to Spirit Lake". (Shown at right) Turn right, and follow the unpaved road. It will take you back into Utah, and later into Ashley National Forest. After you have driven 12 of the 19 miles, there will be a sign pointing to the right to Spirit Lake. Turn right, and follow that road 7 miles directly to the Spirit Lake Lodge.

From the North-East: (via Green River, WY)
From I-80 in Green River (WY), head towards McKinnon Junction, then follow S.R. 1 towards McKinnon. After passing through Rendezvous, where S.R. 1 meets with S.R. 414, turn right towards Burntfork instead of left to McKinnon. Before reaching Burntfork, you will reach the turnoff (to the left) with the big Spirit Lake sign ("19 miles to Spirit Lake", shown above). Follow the directions above from that point.

From the South: (via Vernal, UT)
From Vernal, head north on US-191, which joins with S.R. 44 westbound. Pass Carter Creek, and in about 1 mile, at the sign to Sheep Creek and Brownie Lake, turn left. Follow the road and the signs 21 miles to Spirit Lake.
